ToggleSamir Bodas, who co-founded Icertis in 2009, has been instrumental in building the company from the ground up into a category-defining SaaS business. Under his leadership, Icertis became one of the first unicorns in the CLM space, serving Fortune 500 clients and managing millions of contracts worth trillions of dollars across industries.
In a statement regarding the leadership transition, Bodas said:
“Over the last 15 years, we have built category-defining products to help our customers derive exceptional value by transforming their end-to-end contracting – the foundation of all commerce. As I focus on my health, the time is right for Subbaraman to step into the CEO role and take Icertis to the next level.”
His continued presence as Executive Chairman ensures that Icertis will retain strategic continuity while also benefitting from Subbaraman’s operational and technological leadership.
Anand Subbaraman joined Icertis as COO in 2024, bringing with him decades of experience in global enterprise software leadership. Prior to Icertis, he served as President at BrowserStake, where he was credited with driving product innovation and international growth.
His impressive track record also includes senior leadership roles at Finastra, a prominent fintech firm, and Oracle, where he helped scale various enterprise software solutions worldwide.
Subbaraman’s deep understanding of SaaS operations, customer success, and go-to-market strategies is expected to steer Icertis through its next phase of innovation, global expansion, and profitability.
As the contract management software market continues to grow, fueled by the digital transformation of enterprises, Icertis is well-positioned to capitalize on this momentum. With Subbaraman at the helm, the company aims to enhance product capabilities, enter new markets, and deepen customer relationships with its AI-powered CLM platform.
The leadership change also aligns with broader industry trends where SaaS companies are increasingly focusing on scalable operations, enterprise resilience, and AI integration — areas where Subbaraman brings deep expertise.
The appointment of Anand Subbaraman as CEO marks a strategic evolution for Icertis, ensuring the company’s legacy of innovation continues while setting the stage for its next growth phase. With Samir Bodas moving into a strategic advisory role, Icertis blends continuity with fresh leadership — a move likely to strengthen its leadership position in the enterprise SaaS ecosystem.
