Where Every Word Counts – The LIB Education Story

On a weekday afternoon in Bangalore, a group of students sits around a table, each speaking in a different language. One is reciting a Sanskrit verse. Another is confidently reading French aloud. A third is writing a flawless English essay. At the centre of it all is LIB Education—a place where language is not a subject to be memorized, but a skill to be lived.

Founded in May 2023 by Dr. Kakali Roy Chowdhury and Mr. Rishin Roy Chowdhury, LIB began as a small, self-funded venture with a big vision: to create a space where learning would adapt to the student, not the other way around. With ₹1 lakh in capital, a modest classroom, and a hybrid teaching model, the duo set out to fill a gap they had seen for years—personalized, compassionate, and high-quality language education.

Why Languages? Why Now?

In India’s exam-driven system, languages often take a back seat to science and math. But Kakali, with over 25 years of teaching experience, knew their value—languages build confidence, sharpen communication, and open cultural doors. Rishin, with his strategic and operational expertise, saw an opportunity to design a learning model that could scale without losing its personal touch.

Together, they built LIB Education into a fast-growing coaching hub, offering both offline and online classes in Sanskrit, French, English, Kannada, and Hindi. From Grade 6 students preparing for exams to adults learning a new language for work or travel, LIB adapts its teaching to each learner’s pace, goals, and personality.

The First Year – Challenges and Triumphs

Earning trust was the hardest part. Parents and students alike needed proof that this wasn’t “just another tuition centre.” Slowly, results spoke louder than words. In its first year, LIB recorded 300% year-on-year growth, taught 500+ students, and became known for turning struggling learners into confident communicators.

The secret? Consistency, empathy, and adaptability—values that run through every class and every interaction.

Looking Beyond Bangalore

The founders are already planning the next chapter—AI-based tracking tools, curated language modules, and a franchise model to take LIB’s philosophy nationwide. Their long-term goal is clear: to make LIB the most trusted name in language learning across India.

For Kakali and Rishin, LIB is more than a business—it’s a belief that every student has a voice worth hearing. And through every lesson, they are helping that voice find its words.
