Marine robotics startup EyeROV, a pioneer in India’s blue tech innovation space, has achieved a major milestone by securing a โน47 crore ($5.3 million) contract from the Indian Navy to deliver its advanced underwater remotely operated vehicles (UWROVs). This landmark deal marks a significant step forward in strengthening India’s indigenous defence and marine capabilities.
Under the contract, EyeROV will supply its state-of-the-art ROV named TROUT, an AI-powered underwater vehicle designed for deep-sea missions and high-endurance operations. Built for a wide range of underwater tasks, TROUT is engineered to handle extreme marine conditions and comes equipped with autonomous navigation, advanced imaging systems, and a rugged construction suitable for defence and industrial use.
