Travelling unexplored destinations is not everyone’s cup of tea. We all seem to be in the rat race of earning a good salary and being surrounded by all the lavishness of this world but then how can we bring change in the society if we’re handcuffed to our comfort so badly. Few people are born to make a difference. Prof. Amey Surendra Pangarkar is one such man who left his job of 3.5 years, so as to set up his own advertising and new-age marketing consultancy. There were various reasons which inspired him to start his consultancy.
He has completed his Google, YouTube, Facebook, Hubspot and Hootsuite certifications way before starting his own business. After completion of these courses, Prof. Pangarkar came to know that marketing students do need to learn about these courses in order to remain in touch with the changing marketing trends.
Being a Google certified digital marketer, he has avid knowledge in the field of marketing and advertising. Apart from that, he even has a knack of teaching and has taught many students in different management institutes for the last three years. Despite all this success, the path to bring a change in society was not at all easy. Prof. Pangarkar has faced immense struggle which has helped him in becoming the person he is today.
“Struggle is necessary for a person to know the value of his/her dreams. Through struggle, a person gets to know his/her capabilities and it even increases will power. Without struggle, a person would not be able to know the meaning of hard work, dedication, and maintaining the spirit of not giving up.”
Prof. Pangarkar is one such person who that the struggle was necessary for him, as it has helped him to achieve the milestone. The analytical skills of Prof. Pangarkar helped him in identifying the needs of the clients and hence made it easier for him to provide the desired output to the clients. He has even played a major role in executing advertising and marketing campaigns in various leading organisations.
Speaking about studies, surprisingly, Prof. Pangarkar is an engineer turned MBA degree holder, which has given him an idea of both technical as well as the business world. Being a gold medalist in MBA Marketing and having the skills of an engineer, Prof. Pangarkar has sufficient knowledge about these two different streams which have helped him in achieving success in the advertising field.
When asked about the idea of the consultancy, he replied, “Digital marketing is no more a luxury but has become a necessity for all the organizations. In today’s day, consumers do have a ROPO (Research Online Purchase Offline) syndrome and hence presence on digital marketing portals is important, but more than that absence is more hazardous.”
While Prof. Pangarkar was doing the various course as a digital marketer, he came to realize its importance and the need for these courses for the marketing students in the field of MBA. This was one of the main reasons as to why Prof. Pangarkar is a successful entrepreneur in this ever-competitive world.
