Sudendu Shah, Entrepreneur, Pride Group of Companies
When most were straddling in the carefree school-going zone at the age of 11, Sudendu Shah was tackling numbers and ideas in the field of business. No wonder he has achieved the Times of the Year 2019 – Young Entrepreneur award! Apart from being the CEO of Pride Group of Companies, he is also on the Advisory Board of NULEARN, a brand collaborating and conducting industry-relevant courses with IIMs all across India.
Surprisingly, he did not start his journey embellishing the corporate pursuits, but as a football coach and opened the Pride Coaching Academy which had four branches in a period of two years. And then on, his dedication to the center was sterling. Later on, while pursuing his degree in mechanical engineering, an epiphany struck him, and he realized that he wanted to take up the challenging lifestyle of an entrepreneur. Here, fiddling between his college and professional was a genuine challenge.
“I tackled one field at a time with creativity and innovation and made a strong headway towards progress, working with prestigious brands like INOX, Miraj, Vodafone, CNBC, Nature’s Basket, TV 18, Aditya Birla Group, Pune Cantonment Board and many more”.
His belief now is, ‘Creating jobs is better than doing it.’ In order for a business to be successful and encouraging, diversity is a necessity. The dynamic changes stimulate people’s minds, giving them a broader perspective across multiple opinions, which liberated them from being imagination bound. This was one of the most pioneered retrospects of the Pride Group of Companies.
“I assume Inspiration/Idol is temporary, but you are permanent. No one in this world realizes your stories, your life, your struggle better than you, yourself”.
His journey from the small town of Solapur to Pune, Pune to Dubai and Dubai to the US has inspired him more than any other idol. It is a crucial aspect of self-growth to be able to rely on oneself and know one’s strengths and weaknesses. And that does not mean you will be invincible when it comes to struggles. Struggles are a part of life, and to Sudendu Shah, regretting them isn’t the purpose of facing them. The underlying understanding of self, our limits, triggers, and gratification is only achieved when we embrace them rather than fear them.
“Every problem comes with multiple solutions, and those multiple solutions come with multiple opportunities. It’s not the problems but the approach towards the problems that counts”.
Thus, the winner of India Icon – Most Dynamic Young Entrepreneur, believes that being an entrepreneur, it is necessary to be able to take risks. That is where success lies. This does not mean that you will be adorned with only positive outcomes. Learning from mistakes is what makes the risk worthy. To him, there are thousands of opportunities awaiting you in the market; you just need the insight of being able to look for it. It’s the vision of an individual that matters the most.
