Many of us are engaged in pursuing something we do seek, but when the realization settles, it often stirs us afar towards the path that is meant for us. Dr. Anamika Chawhan did not see herself as a life coach. But now, she is the founder of MagnificentU, which is an HR consulting and coaching firm.
Her journey as an entrepreneur has led her eight years deep into the journey of enhancing the underlying qualities of an individual. She has done her Ph.D. in Knowledge Management from IIT Bombay, and since then she has dedicated herself to partnering with senior leadership to frame business strategy, identify people’s implications, and accordingly design & deploy people practices.
“Drawing on my decade of experience, my personal interactive approach challenges and supports clients to achieve their desired results.”
There are different ways to tackle and approach different people. That, in essence, is what makes us unique as human beings. But staying stuck in a vicious entrapment without ever being able to realize one’s full potential is a mark of horror, and one that Anamika Chawhan wants to combat. She hasn’t only achieved this by opening MagnificentU, but also conducting seminars and workshops at various universities and corporate franchises.
After her MBA in 2009, she started a leading preschool for 5 years which was later sold to a leading preschool company. It was during this period of unemployment that her epiphanies started cascading into her consciousness.
“During my professional and entrepreneurial journey, I discovered that most of my clients were expressing a significant degree of dissatisfaction in life; stress, anxiety, and unhappiness were widespread.”
Anxiety still consumed her, even though she was a successful entrepreneur with high status and good income. That was when she realized that mental health is as necessary as physical health. A diseased mind creates loops for itself, without ever trying to get out of them. This hinders the process of skill development and continues to do so for most of us. She wants to work towards eradicating this cycle of torment.
Her inspiration thrives from becoming a better version of herself in each passing day, and her role models comprise of the people who had a healthy approach towards development and progress, those who did not use deception and treachery to trade success for the honour.
“Entrepreneur in itself is a risky routine. And, it challenges self on various aspects of your business model very often”.
Getting out of her struggle wasn’t easy, apart from combatting emotions like anxiety, she had to overcome the traditional societal aspects of patriarchy, fighting it as she handles her professional and personal life. Her opportunities did not lie in external incentives but internal emotional pacification. There are many around us struggling for power despite of individual potentials. Combatting this venomous overbearing of thoughts is necessary, and she has found her way of doing it.
“Individuals who wish to grow are losing out in the correct direction or path or method. Hence, Life Coaching or Business Coaching has very good opportunity who wish to grow realistically”.
