Smt Ved Mahajan and Ms. Swati Mahajan
Swati and Ved Mahajan are one of those couples that personify the ‘meant-to-be’ metaphor on not just a person, but also a professional level. The two are clearly two passionate individuals who have pursued intellectual prowess to employ it to help others and to enrich their own lives mentally and spiritually.
Of the duo, Ved is the maestro – he has over 35 years of teaching experience and has, over time, come up with a unique, eclectic methodology of teaching his students that has been transformational in melding the traditional and novel techniques seamlessly. The effects of his expertise are best exhibited by his work on the relatively weaker students, who, under his guidance, not only surpass their own expectations as well as of others by clearing competitive exams but also nab top ranks in those exams.
Swati, on the other hand, is the level-headed support of the couple that does everything with ruthless finesse and perseverance. She has authored eight books for competitive exams, all of which are highly recommended and consulted by students. She is also a part of the interview panel at various educational institutions and further contributes to such institutions as the Keynote Speaker to various events.
When you want to bring innovations in a sector which is ages old, you face problems because people or your target audience don’t trust you easily. We still sometimes face this problem that people don’t trust when we introduce innovations that the students had never even thought about.
Hearing them describe their own life experience, one gets the sense that both of them are firmly grounded in their lives’ realities and that their own family is their biggest source of strength and inspiration. Both of them consider their parents to be their biggest role models.
Swati Mahajan : My Parents, Mr. Gurdev Jeswani, and Mrs. Nirmala Jeswani. Their journey can inspire anyone on the planet.
Ved Mahajan: My Father, Shri Shiv Nath Gupta, has been the biggest support and constant role model.
They are also deeply spiritual, and they employ their insights and practice from a life-long spiritual practice to the altruistically-motivated work ethic and mental fortitude that makes them so unique. They were motivated to teach and write, respectively, after noticing a common sentiment of disappointment amongst students, particularly from lower socioeconomic strata of the society, when it came to studying material and guidance relating to competitive examinations for civil services.
Too many students end up with teachers who don’t bother maintaining constant contact with them, in institutes that have prohibitive prices. We wanted to offer accessible quality prices.
Their work aimed at creating a positive impact on society, and collective driving growth has already been highly recognized. They’ve been felicitated with the Priyadarshini Award 2019 (by FIWE under Ministry of Women and Child Development); the Indian Icon Award 2019 by Blindwink and the Indian Iconic Award 2019 by Reseal.com. They have also been nominated for the award at World Education Summit 2019.
