Mr Biplab Bhanjan Bugudai, Owner, Divine Institute of Engineering & Technology, has been doing something remarkable for the society & his people. He is an engineer by profession, and after working a few years at NICCO corporation limited, he was promoted to be the head of the organization in 2014. Since then, he has left no scope, no loopholes for his mission to be successful. He wanted to do it for the tribal people of the area. Although it was pretty hard to convince these people to be educated, he stood his ground. He believed, “after having ample technical know-how they will be able to compete with the world.”
The initial inception year of this foundation was in 2009, since that time, the motto has been providing Technical education to children. But with handing him over the responsibility, the motive has become more focused. Because of the institution’s teaching method, many children were being attracted to the course, as it was offering substantial job offers. Students could also get a diploma degree from the institution. Truth be told, mostly the tribal students of the area are benefitted. And this was Mr Bugudai’s intentions too.
Well, you might be thinking, why this and not some other profession, as he is an established engineer himself. The reply to this thought from his side was very sorted when we also asked him the same thing. He said, “cater and spread the knowledge of Technical education and see the outcome in a positive way was the motto of my initiative.” It was as simple as that. In his life, he is deeply rooted by the philosophy of DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, and his father, Sri Purna Chandra Bugudai. Both of these personalities have only been “lovers of education and spreaders of knowledge”, says Biplab. And the fact that his father too had established a technical institution for the benefit of tribal people, given him another reason to be like him.
“Do good for the Society, Society will take care of you” – Biplab Bhanjan Bugudai
The journey, on the other hand, was not very smooth. As he had to convince and be accepted by the locals to establish an educational institute was challenging. The process required many steps, such as making them understand the cause, counselling them, and etc. But all of this went well because of his previous experience and his engineering degree which happen to be helping him still now.
For the people who want to be entrepreneurs or establish something on their own, Mr Bugudai’s advice is, “Survey the market, understand the need of the populous, be inspiring, true to your words…”. This great man has received his honour for being such a bright example to the people of the country, awards for “The Best Polytechnic College in Odisha, 2019, Prakruti Mitra by Govt. of Odisha, Face of the Entrepreneurs National Award”.
