Dr. Pankaj Vikas Thakur, Managing Director of Ramaya World School. His Story began in 2005 when he started his teaching career & Joined CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, Punjab. During his teaching journey there was always a dream in his heart to serve the quality education to children belonging to his native place and to live his dream, he quit his job & came back to his roots to fulfill his lifelong dream of establishing a School in the name of his grandparents Late Sh. Ram Chand & Late Smt. Maya Devi as a tribute to the sacred souls.
Dr. Thakur in his life has faced many challenges, he is from a small town called Dehra, Distt. Kangra (H.P). He claims himself as a very dedicated enthusiastic self-driven academician. He has a doctorate in the field of Chemistry and with outstanding academic, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills with 15+ years of teaching/administrative experience. But none of this really mattered even after he was appointed as the Head of Department, Deputy Director & Dean with the renowned educational institutes of Punjab.
Now that he decided to come back to his roots, he established the “Ramaya World School”, a school with a difference established with a vision to make “Quality & Holistic education in reach of EVERYONE”. According to him, this institution is determined and confidently proclaims & epitomizes that in the field of education:
“We are the Promise,
We are the future,
Feel the transformation…..”
Moving forward, he has many people to thank. As this institution serves the best today but neither of it was possible with people helping him. So, he wants to thank “My Father Sh. Kuldeep Singh Thakur, Mother Smt. Sudershana Thakur, My Wife Dr. Shivani Thakur, My Son Harshveer Thakur, My Brother Shekhar Thakur, My sister in law Kanika, My Niece Harshali Thakur, My Sister Nisha Thakur, My Brother in law Er. Abhinav Thakur, My Nephew Rudransh Thakur and my In-Laws family”.
No entrepreneur ever likes to share his/her secret of a successful establishment to anybody, but we’re lucky enough to learn some word of wisdom by Dr. Thakur himself. He says, “For me, the single most important attribute to becoming successful is self-discipline. It helps you stay focused on reaching your goals, gives you the gumption to stick with difficult tasks, and allows you to overcome obstacles and discomfort as you push yourself to new heights.”
Today, now that he has gained so much respect for his contribution to the development of the children’s education, he just wants to share his story so that others can step up and do the same. Dr. Thakur has already won, “Best Teacher Award 2014, ISTE Best Teacher Award 2015, Teaching Excellence Award 2017, Bharat Gaurav Award 2018”, and we only wish him good luck and great success for the future.
