The Best To His Students
Mahesh has a strong connection with the student fraternity and can influence young minds. He runs a modest practice in the name of Studio7.Inc in Pune, which conducts Architectural Tours, organizes workshops, collaborates for various architectural events and competitions, and does consultancy for commercial and residential projects’ interior design.
In his journey, he considers himself very lucky to have a chance to meet, interact, and learn from many world-renowned Architects. BNCA has provided him with several opportunities to host some most amazing Designers, which has largely influenced his school of thought.
Some of his senior colleagues at BNCA have been his role model in the Teaching field and a couple of his teachers from his bachelor days at BVP, Pune. “Dr. Anurag Kashyap, Principal, BNCA, has been my strongest support and mentor in this journey of being an edu-catalyst,” says Mahesh.
Although, today, he is successful. Again considers himself very lucky to have got a very supportive family, friends, and colleagues. Having come from modest Marwari family background, his parents have always imbibed in him the need to give back to society, and he thinks getting into the Teaching field has been his way of doing it.
“It has been a wonderful journey so far, having taught more than 2000 students so far. It is also a matter of huge pride to see my students doing wonderful at life – professionally and as individuals too”.
His profession gives him the pleasure to see his students’ growth in the field, designing well and winning awards nationally and globally. As a Professor, it has been a very satisfying journey so far, and he looks forward to much more in years to come.
“I believe in encouraging young minds to develop the curiosity to learn, explore and think beyond the average.”
In his life, he has strived to mentor students in a direction where they become more confident individuals, more responsible designers, and most importantly, good citizens with social awareness and empathy. And, his students, in this case, are assured of receiving so under his mentoring!
Lastly, Mahesh would like to credit his award to his family members, who have always supported everything he has tried to do all along. And, therefore, he wishes to dedicate his award to his BNCA Family as well.
