Mr. Hari Prasad Sukhavasi, owner, AQUAMAX SYSTEMS INDIA PVT LTD, a Water Treatment Equipment manufacturer company of India. Having a rich experience of 29 years in the industry, his entrepreneurial days finally paid off. He was born in Repalle, Guntur dist. Of Andhra Pradesh and worked in the industry for nine years at various positions. Later started his own proprietorship business, which was later converted into a PVT LTD company under his visionary leadership.
AQUAMAX Group was founded in 1999 and has been in “Total Water Management Solutions” less than one roof for domestic and industrial applications’ for the past 21 years. They sell specialized market segments like Textile, Power Plants, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverages, Paper, Sugar, Cement, Tobacco, Distilleries, Hatcheries, Hospitality, Commercial & Residential areas, etc.
Mr. Sukhavasi was entirely inspired by his father, Mr. Sukhavasi Venkata Basavaiah. He told us, “I haven’t seen anyone up to now who worked so hard. He never showed up and always intended to be a normal person. He is always assisting me like a friend; he used to share his experience and the mistakes he made in his life so that we won’t repeat them.” His father always smiled, and he never showed any odd behavior to the family. Mr. Sukhavasi found it amusing. It is only because of his father; he received the strength to fight and make a position of himself.
He knew to be an entrepreneur means being someone who takes on challenges. It is synonymous. But It also implies that you are a problem solver.
During the challenging phase of the crisis, most organizations’ leaders found they needed to play defense, maintaining their values, their people, their customers, and their business at the lead. But to thrive in the next normal, Mr. Sukhavasi played both defense and offense, working to protect the people and his company, but also taking the larger view. He needed to lean into the wind and make contrarian moves so he can come out of the crisis with momentum and a competitive edge. Winners will do both.
His journey has taught the new generations to be consistent & patient. Being prosperous often means learning from those who have already achieved their goals. Hence, he suggests,
“Having a mentor is an amazing blessing to an entrepreneur, but not everyone can find one in person. No one succeeds in business alone, and those who try will lose to a great team every time… “
We feel truly honored to know that a business tycoon like him is so humble about his struggles as an entrepreneur. He has won the India 500 Quality Leader Award 2020, Indian Achiever Award 2020 for Business Leadership.
