Dr. Prakash Divakaran – Director, Vidya Tilak College, Pune
Dr. Prakash Divakaran, the director of ‘Vidya Tilak College’, is a Pune-based corporate executive who has remarkably chased his goal. The ardent Educationist attributes his success to his prudent decision of re-engaging according to the relevance of time, consistent revision of progress and uncompromising dedication on what is planned. Carrying a tremendous platter of delightful stories that the new generation can emulate and learn from, Dr. Prakash has authored 5 Management books as well.
Sharing about his endeavors, Dr. Prakash recalls the days while he was working to build others’ dreams only. He admits that a steady income each month is strikingly appealing when you begin a career but for a dreamer and visionary like him, this doesn’t work well, as he always knew that he was destined for something great.
Immensely inspired by his beloved father M.G. Divakaran, he is himself an inspiration for many. Born to a poor family in a village – Putuppally, in Kayankulam, Alleppey district, Kerala; Dr. Prakash shares a huge portion of his success to his parents and well wishers whose blessings have made him achieve the milestones along with his hard work and dedication.
“Setting my goals was the biggest challenge I have faced but once I finalized, I didn’t wait or allowed any circumstances to create a challenge”, he shares. He is an impeccable Educationist whose motive in life is “You are the creator of your own destiny, stop waiting for things to happen, go out and make it happen”. Highly motivated by challenges, he enjoys working with a team to bring projects to completion. He always goes above and beyond and reflects, “I truly enjoy excelling and pushing myself. I look forward to tasks where I can learn and grow”. The Inspirational Educationist, Dr. Prakash Divakaran has bagged ‘Best Literacy worker of Alleppey District’ in 1992 and ‘Best National Service Scheme Volunteer’ in national level during 24 years of rich experience in the education sector.
