For many, finance feels like an exclusive club with its own cryptic code. For Anurag Agarwal, it’s a subject that should belong to everyone. At 35, as the founder of Anurag Agarwal Classes, he’s made it his life’s work to decode finance and turn it into a tool for empowerment.
Armed with a BCOM, CA, and CFA, Anurag built a successful corporate career in audit, due diligence, and fundraising. For eight years, he thrived in high-pressure environments—until a single realization changed his path. “I saw bright, capable people shy away from finance—not because they couldn’t learn it, but because no one made it relatable,” he says. At 31, he left a lucrative corporate role to follow his true passion: teaching.
Since 2021, he has dedicated himself to CFA coaching, simplifying complex concepts like investments, risk management, and ethics. His trademark approach blends conceptual clarity, real-world examples, and a hint of humor to keep students engaged. “Finance is just another language,” he says. “Once you understand it, you can speak it with confidence.”
The transition from corporate professional to educator wasn’t without challenges—financial uncertainty, adapting to diverse learning styles, and staying ahead of evolving regulations tested his resolve. But the unwavering support of his wife and the values instilled by his father—humility, hard work, and integrity—kept him grounded.
Beyond his own classroom, Anurag envisions an education system that embraces practical, skill-based learning, financial literacy, and value-driven teaching. He believes technology must be leveraged to bring quality education to rural and underprivileged students.
