Naman V Shah, who used to sketch and scribble on the walls of his house in childhood is now a successful businessman in architecture and interior designing. His mother Parool is a ceramic designer from NID and his father Vipul is an architect from alumni CEPT Ahmedabad. So, he along with his sister has always been fortunate enough to play in the aura of creativity. Infact, it would not be incorrect to say that his exposure to art has shaped him into a successful businessman of today. He was 25 when he started his business. The name of his website is “www.namanshaharchitects.com”. It is located in 5/B Jain Society, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad.
In his early days, he used to pound the clay into pots and masks along with his mother and sister. He always used to make abstract paintings for his father’s projects.
It is said
“to practice any art no matter how well or badly is the only way to make your soul grow”
and this is what he did. He started his business in March 2007. One of the best things about him is that he is very close to nature and always encourages clients towards the environment and about the use of local materials and green practices for every project. As we all know that Nature is the best designer and it paints the most wonderful pictures that can take our breath away and engulf us in its majestic beauty. A deep look into nature unlocks imagination and inspires creativity. He is so ground to earth that he not only encourages skilled craftsmen as well as local artisans.
His inspiration was his father and mother. His parents have always supported him. Ever since childhood, Mr. Shah was exposed to his parent’s profession which not only sharpened his entrepreneurship skills but also helped him stay in touch with the traditional and indigenous products. He has also displayed love and care with the nature that portrays him being concerned about the environment that indeed deserves applause in today’s world as in the present times, in pursuit of multiplication people are resorting to ways that are not conducive to the overall well being of our environment. It leaves behind an appealing message of the coexistence of the pursuit of human endeavors and nature. Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun and he loved working with his hands and getting dirty and being messy.
Today, he is also involved in organic farming and has been integrating green plants into buildings like restaurants, hotels, or high-rise Apartments. Slowly it grew into USB and now it is the only important thing in business. He always focuses on what clients need and their feedback above everything and this is one of the reasons he has been so successful in his journey so far. . He gave one of the best pieces of advice anyone can get:
” Start by planting a fruit tree if you have patience till it gets his first fruit which is perfect in shape colour size and takes the one that is fit to be an architect.”
