From that realization, Art Kingdom was born in 2015.
At the time, Gowtham was just 22 years old, a young entrepreneur with a vision to make art not just a form of expression, but a medium to create social change. With no significant capital to start his business, Gowtham relied entirely on his skills and passion. Today, Art Kingdom generates a turnover of 30 to 35 lakhs annually, and it’s a testament to his belief in his work, his refusal to give up, and his dedication to a larger purpose.
Art Kingdom stands out in the market not just for its creative output, but for the philosophy that drives its work. Gowtham has always been clear that his business is not just about creating beautiful pieces of art, but about making a difference in society. One of the most notable projects that put Art Kingdom on the world stage was the creation of the “Corona Helmet,” an art installation made from waste materials that raised awareness about COVID-19 and the importance of mask-wearing during the pandemic. Today, Art Kingdom completes around four niche wall projects and two art installations per month. It also collaborates with top brands for corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, creating art installations that raise public awareness and often aim to set world records. One of Gowtham’s proudest achievements was creating the world’s largest Christmas tree installation made entirely of waste materials in 2021, further emphasizing his commitment to sustainability.
While Gowtham’s work has earned him several awards and accolades, including recognition from the WHD in 2020 and being named the Best Chennai Citizen of 2020, his journey has not been without struggles. Starting a business in a field like art, which is often undervalued and misunderstood, came with its own set of challenges. One of the most significant hurdles Gowtham faced was convincing his family that art could be a sustainable career. For two years, he worked tirelessly, sacrificing time with friends and family, to prove that his passion could also be his profession.
In the early stages of his business, Gowtham faced many financial struggles as well. Clients would sometimes take his services without paying, leaving him in difficult positions. However, he persisted, believing in his vision and trusting that his hard work would pay off. Over time, his reputation grew, and today, Art Kingdom is a recognized brand that many aspiring artists look up to.

Additionally, he wants to create art interiors for various needs and establish a platform where people can learn different art forms, making art more accessible and easier to pursue as a career. His vision is to create a society that is art-inclined, empathetic, and happy, and he is on a mission to use his art to make that vision a reality.
