The founder of BSS Group, Pankaj Tiwari always wanted to be a professional entrepreneur and has been one for the past 8 years. Now, the group expands to being a major corporate franchise, including the BSS College, RPIC School, BSS Consultancy Services, ICC Pvt. Ltd. And Life Line Hospital. After pursuing his Ph.D., he worked on getting an MBA in entrepreneurship followed by M. Com. After working for 5 years, he realized that he did not want to work for someone but start a business of his own.
“I started work with a purpose. I would also like to say that my goal is still far away, which I need to work hard to achieve”.
Entrepreneurship has taken over various facets of the world and is now becoming an aspiration to many. But it is not piece of cake. It requires skills and the ability to look for talent. Furthermore, the necessary management and inter-personal skills required make it all the more challenging profession. But in a world where only the very few are achieving their pursued dreams, Pankaj Tiwari sure falls in the promising lot.
The skills that he learned during his working years helped him establish himself in the market, and define and redefine goals in the market space. And of course, with a supportive family, and engaging circle of friends, a self-righteous path, and a staunch determination, achieving what is aspired becomes a prominent destination.
“The guidance of my family and friends in putting up my own business has also been a big reason.”
He was inspired by the people around his life to be able to work on something that he wanted to. Reading books and having role models is an ideal process of self-development. But this does not mean it was an undulating path to success. There were financial struggles and extremely stressed periods of time where one wants to give up, but doesn’t. That, for Pankaj Tiwari, is the motto of success.
“Initially, like all people, I also faced the problem of money. It took me a lot of time to establish my identity among people. The competition in a negative way also troubled me”.
Taking risks is a crucial part of an entrepreneurial task. An idea either flourishes or deprecates. But being afraid is no reason to stop believing in what one aspires to be. And to him, these ideas precede the thought processes only with good education. One can do wonders in a nurturing educational environment while becoming a slave to his need for immediate gratification in a non-sustainable one, thereby achieving nothing toward the end.
However, Pankaj Tiwari’s outlook on the current education system is that of disappointment. There are several things that one should learn from an educational institution rather than mugging up.
“There are not many things that should be at the initial stage, but they are not in the right time course. My aim is to provide education that can provide good employment to the students with knowledge”.
He has been honored with the Industry Awards of CII, Delhi and Golden Ideas Award by TDI, and continues to do a marvelous job at making education an unsubstantiated right.
