Dr Amit Saxena – Director, Sri Sai Krupa Hospital, Bangalore
Founded in 2010, Sri Sai Krupa Hospital has grown into a 30-bed capacity multi-speciality Hospital in Kodigehalli with well-equipped operation theatres, labour room, in-patient facilities with general ward, semi-private, private wards, ICU, NICU etc. The Hospital has fully equipped laboratory, X-Ray, ECG, ECHO, Ultra Sound Scanning, Colour Doppler, Dialysis etc. With well-experienced Consultants, Nursing and Paramedical staff, 24 hours Pharmacy, and own Ambulance, the hospital is serving general public with utmost care.
Dr Amit Saxena, the Director of Sri Sai Krupa Hospital, was determined to open a hospital to serve the masses when during his graduation days he saw the struggle of patients in getting themselves basic healthcare at affordable rates. So, it was in his mind since he was a medical student and finally fulfilled his dream of serving people through his hospital. He hails from a middle-class family based out of Uttar Pradesh and started serving people at the age of 27, right after becoming doctor. He moved to Bangalore to pursue his studies, whereas his siblings are all settled in their home town. After a lot of hard work and successfully becoming a doctor, he tried his hands in entrepreneurship by opening up Sri Sai Krupa Hospital.
In last thirteen years, Dr Saxena has been working hard to make his dream come true & in this noble journey of his, its his father who had always been his inspiration. Even today he motivates him to move forward and has been his pillar of strength.
In his path of success, like any other entrepreneur, Dr Saxena too had to face certain hardships. Financing his venture was a major drawback when he started, followed by lack of experience in this field. Since, he started at an early age, managing the hospital without any prior experience posed hindrance to smooth operation of the establishment. But with a span of a year, he was quick to learn the tricks of the trade and pull up his socks. However, during all these struggles, it was his family who stood by him like a solid rock, and that gave much of a confidence in marching ahead.
According to Dr Saxena,
“South India is a great market, if we can keep up our good work and provide best in class service, then future looks bright. We are also looking at improving ourselves so that we can keep up with the expectations of our patients/clients.”
As an entrepreneur, he believes that one should be mentally and emotionally strong to keep on moving ahead by taking the challenged head on. Else any chicken heart can wither under tremendous pressure that one has to undergo. He also believes that in healthcare sector one learns stuff on the go & the learning is a continuous process. If one is hardworking and open to learn new things, then definitely they are going to excel in this line.
Dr Saxena takes pride in serving people and he has been honoured and rewarded for the same. LION’s club of Bangalore honoured him for helping people during COVID times. He is also awarded from Hopkins University and recipient of reward from Human Rights Associations. We hope more such doctors like him come forward to provide affordable healthcare to the masses.
