Shaping Young Minds: The Story of Kiddos Paradise Pre-School
Amirtha Ravindranath, the founder of Kiddos Paradise Pre-School Vijayanagar (www.kiddosparadise.in), embarked on her entrepreneurial journey with a passion for Early Childhood Education and an unyielding drive to create a nurturing foundation for children. With a solid academic background in English Literature and Journalism, she spent over two decades as a lecturer, professor, and coordinator in reputed institutions before retiring in 2012. Her teaching career not only honed her skills but also reinforced her dream of establishing a preschool—a vision she nurtured since 2003.
In January 2013, Amirtha turned her dream into reality, starting Kiddos Paradise with an initial investment of ₹20 lakhs. Today, the school boasts a turnover of ₹40 lakhs, thriving under her leadership. The institution caters to children aged 1 to 6, focusing on a blend of Montessori and play-based methodologies. This unique approach emphasizes holistic development and caters to young parents’ aspirations for their children.
What sets Kiddos Paradise apart is its personalized approach to parent counseling during admissions, ensuring alignment with their goals for their children’s education. The school’s experienced and loyal staff further reinforce its strong reputation, as many have been with Amirtha since its inception.
Drawing inspiration from Maria Montessori’s principles, Amirtha has built a preschool that fosters learning, exploration, and confidence in young learners. She attributes much of her success to her family’s support, with her daughter—a food scientist—guiding nutrition planning for the school, and her son-in-law providing valuable IT insights.
The journey has not been without challenges. Entering a competitive market required strategic planning, meticulous execution, and a steadfast belief in her vision. Through resilience and continuous learning, Amirtha has proven that passion and dedication are keys to success.
As Kiddos Paradise prepares to expand with a second branch and potential franchise opportunities, Amirtha reflects on her core belief:
