Sudipta’s English Academy – Turning Words into Wings

From a lifelong love for the English language to building an award-winning academy, Sudipta Kesar is helping learners speak their way to success.

When you meet Sudipta Kesar, founder of Sudipta’s English Academy, you immediately sense her conviction that language is more than grammar and vocabulary—it’s confidence, opportunity, and freedom. Her academy, launched in April 2023, has become a hub for learners seeking not just to “know” English but to live it.

English had been her fascination since childhood, nurtured by films, music, and books. But she also witnessed something troubling: despite years of study, many graduates still struggled to express themselves fluently. That gap became her mission. Determined to create a different kind of learning space, Sudipta pursued a Master’s Level Certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the London College of Teachers and Trainers and set out to design her own approach.

The academy she built is deliberately unlike traditional classrooms. Lessons often start at 8 PM, making it accessible to professionals after work. Classes are intimate, with small batch sizes that allow for personal attention. Games, activities, and real-life scenarios replace the monotony of rote learning. “Discipline and consistency are important,” Sudipta says, “but patience matters just as much. Language learning isn’t a race—it’s a journey.”

Her journey wasn’t without hurdles. Early on, she had to manage learners’ unrealistic expectations for quick fixes. Instead of giving in, she taught them the value of steady progress. Drawing on her own experiences as a language learner, she connected with students on a personal level, understanding their frustrations and encouraging them through every step.

From day one, Sudipta focused on professionalism. She invested in quality tools—pen tablets, high-resolution cameras, proper lighting—ensuring her online classes felt polished and engaging. A strong presence across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Google helped her reach learners far beyond her locality.

Her instincts were right. In a competitive job market, poor communication skills often block career growth. By addressing that gap, she positioned her academy as a solution for both personal and professional transformation. The results are evident in her students—people who now speak with clarity, interview with confidence, and express themselves without hesitation.

Recognition soon followed. In 2024, she received the India Excellence Award for Outstanding Excellence in English Language Education, a moment that validated her vision and fueled her ambition. She is already planning to expand into personality development, public speaking, and accent training, transforming the academy into a one-stop destination for communication and personal growth.

At its heart, Sudipta’s English Academy is more than a business—it’s a reflection of its founder’s passion, resilience, and belief in the power of language. Every session is not just about learning English—it’s about unlocking potential, one word at a time.
