Suhel Ahmed: A Journey from Modest Beginnings to Industrial Magnate
I hail from a middle-class family in Barak Valley, Assam, an area with limited modern amenities. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, I was inspired from a young age to pursue business, driven by the entrepreneurial spirit of my family elders.
Business Journey
Inception:
I embarked on my business career on January 1, 2008, in the retail and marketing sector. Our venture, M/s HRD Commercial & Industrial Security Force Pvt. Ltd., began as a partnership firm and later evolved into a Private Limited Company on April 27, 2012.
Present Status:
Our company has grown from serving local areas in Assam to expanding across the entire North Eastern States, ultimately becoming a Pan India company. We provide services to 61 Government Departments and employ over 8,500 individuals, offering them social security as per government guidelines.
In 2021, we diversified into renewable energy, establishing Sunbird Super Energy Pvt. Ltd. We now operate 22 fuel retail outlets in the North Eastern states, generating employment for over 1,850 individuals.

The North East Region faces significant geographical and economic challenges. Our business addresses these issues by establishing administrative and field offices to mobilize our operations effectively, thereby contributing to the region’s economic development and social upliftment.

We are a leading manpower outsourcing service provider, catering to various government departments across India. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we collaborate with NGOs, VOs, and SHGs to promote IT education, vocational training, health check-ups, and social awareness programs.
Sunbird Super Energy Pvt. Ltd.:
Our foray into the renewable energy sector includes biofuel and lubricant businesses. We aim to revolutionize the energy sector in the North East and beyond.

Future Prospects
We are advancing towards a green revolution with ventures in biofuel, plastic recycling, and various industrial projects. Our upcoming projects include a mineral water plant, food processing units, and an electric vehicle brand, Sunbird EV, which is set to launch soon.

Starting in the economically underdeveloped North East region, we faced significant challenges in sourcing qualified professionals and necessary manpower. However, through hard work and dedicated teamwork, we overcame these obstacles and achieved our current status.
