Business opportunities in Biotechnology industry never fade for its expeditious growth rate. One such multi-faceted venture was initiated by a Biotechnology savvy, K.C. Sangeeth Mohan. The Mumbai University graduate in B.Tech (Food Science & Technology), with his remarkable expertise in the field of enzyme formulations, outperformed in every company he penetrated into. The curious soul, in spite of having handsome package, aspired to launch his own firm. Owing to his skills, he soon hit a new career curve with ‘Advanced Biotechnologies’, a renowned name in the field of Food and Chemical industry.
His Technical expertise reflects in the conversation about industrial enzymes and allied products. “These products find its application in various fields incorporating animal nutrition applications (poultry, swine, cattle, aquatic animals for international market); for enhancing the digestibility of food, and the medical applications such as healing wounds, antibacterial and antifungal utilities”, the Biotechnology expert elaborated. What’s more astonishing about him, is the way he aced export marketing of these products! He expresses gratitude to his ‘then’ foreign clients with whom he shared great rapport. “It’s their cordial support which boosted me to commence my own company”, he added. The enriching and wholesome experience of the biotechnology professional and his strategic thinking acquainted him to wisely plan every phase of establishing his firm.
Setting up his venture and fostering it during initial years was ‘no easy ride’ for the Biotechnology connoisseur but his wife, Sheeja Sangeeth, who is the co-director of ‘Advanced Biotechnologies’ supported him in embarking this golden chapter. “She reinforced set-up of the company through constructive activities, legalization aspects and documentations’ associated with the firm”.
Reflecting the challenges in venturing into Biotechnologies, the taskmaster asserts, “Establishing a small R&D unit, which prerequisites enormous investment, and few crores of loans to boost the growth trajectory of his current venture, can be enumerated as the biggest challenge I undertook for achieving my goals”. He looks up to the new tech-giants; Uber, Ola, Flipkart, Amazon and Alibaba.com, to ingrain a dose of motivation; whose directors brilliantly render their ventures with ‘zero investment and high turnover strategies’ to become the most respected tycoons in the world.
Giving an insight of the potential in the food market, he proclaims- “it’s the growing phase of food industry”. He further states that rising population escalates the food requirements which can be witnessed by growth rate of more than 30% every year. “I discovered food industry as one of the potential areas for investing mind and money where mathematics doesn’t go wrong if you meticulously prepare a lucrative business plan”, avers the director of Advance Biotechnologies, Mr. K.C. Sangeeth Mohan.
