The Inspiring Journey of Tanvir Hussain and Inspire Inside Interior Design

For Tanvir Hussain, his passion for creating spaces that inspire began long before he founded Inspire Inside Interior Design in 2015. His journey into the world of interior design is deeply rooted in a love for art and architecture, which grew as he experienced how spaces influenced both the functionality and emotions of those who inhabited them.
Tanvir’s fascination with interior design began in his youth. He was always captivated by how different spaces—from cozy homes to grand historical buildings—could evoke distinct feelings. His early love for reading design magazines further fueled his interest in architecture and interior design, and he would often find himself excited by the design concepts featured in publications he found at railway stations.
“I realized that my vision for design was different, and I felt a deep desire to bring it to life,” Tanvir shares. This passion ultimately led him to establish Inspire Inside Interior Design, a journey that he describes as one of purpose, creativity, and divine inspiration. Today, Tanvir leads a team of 35 professionals and skilled craftsmen, all of whom share his dedication to creating spaces that blend art, functionality, and emotional resonance.
Since its inception, Inspire Inside has grown into a successful sole proprietorship, with a portfolio that spans over 25 residential projects and a wide variety of distinctive spaces, including music studios, rooftop designs, container homes, temples, offices, and restaurants.
“We believe that a well-designed space radiates positivity and enhances the overall experience of those who use it,” Tanvir explains. The firm’s specialty is a human-centered approach to interior design, which combines understated luxury with architectural precision. Tanvir’s designs aim to reflect the client’s lifestyle, personality, and practical needs—creating spaces that are not only visually appealing but also comfortable and functional.
Launching his own business came with its share of challenges. The high demands and tight deadlines typical of interior design projects often led to burnout in Tanvir’s early years. “Managing multiple projects while avoiding burnout was tough,” he admits. Another challenge was working with clients on a tight budget, often tasked with designing luxurious spaces within financial constraints. “Balancing creativity with budget limitations was difficult, but it was crucial for building trust and long-term relationships with clients,” he reflects.
Despite these hurdles, Tanvir’s love for design, passion for creativity, and determination to bring his clients’ visions to life kept him going. Over time, he learned to manage client expectations and refine his approach to design, ensuring that every project met his high standards.
At Inspire Inside, the team handles a broad spectrum of design projects, ranging from high-end residential spaces and bungalows to more unconventional projects like music studios, container homes, and rooftop gardens. What makes Tanvir’s approach unique is his ability to blend beauty with practicality. “We focus not just on making spaces look beautiful, but on creating environments that improve the quality of life for those who inhabit them,” he says.
As the world adapts to new lifestyles, including remote work and flexible living arrangements, Inspire Inside is also looking toward the future. “People are more aware of how their environments affect their health and well-being,” Tanvir notes. “We are creating adaptable spaces that blend home, work, and leisure seamlessly. This is where we see immense potential for growth.”
The future of interior design is shifting toward greater sustainability and personalization. Tanvir and his team are keenly aware of the importance of incorporating eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient solutions, and sustainable practices into their designs. “We aim to introduce clients to sustainable choices, from energy-efficient lighting to natural ventilation, ensuring that our designs are environmentally responsible,” he explains.
The firm also recognizes the growing demand for wellness-oriented spaces. As work-from-home and hybrid lifestyles become more common, Tanvir sees the opportunity to create innovative, adaptable spaces that cater to a variety of needs, combining personal, professional, and leisure areas in one harmonious environment.
For Tanvir, interior design is about more than just creating beautiful spaces; it’s about building strong, personal relationships with clients. “We strive to deeply understand our clients’ preferences, lifestyle, and needs. By focusing on these elements, we create an intimate and personalized experience that results in designs that feel like an extension of their vision,” Tanvir says.
One of his most memorable projects was a residential design for Sourav Das and Anindita Poddar at Siddha Galaxia, where Tanvir’s design reflected a perfect blend of sophistication and personal touch. Another significant project was the design of a container resort for Dr. Debb Basu, which combined modern architecture with an organic, nature-inspired feel. These projects, among many others, exemplify Tanvir’s ability to create unique, tailored spaces that leave a lasting impact on his clients.
Being an entrepreneur has taught Tanvir many valuable lessons, particularly in managing a diverse team. “Building a strong, motivated team is essential for success. We believe in creating a healthy work culture and enjoying the process,” he explains. His natural extroversion and active listening skills have helped him communicate effectively with clients and foster a sense of trust and loyalty. “I take time to understand my clients’ visions and build rapport beyond just a professional relationship,” Tanvir says.
