With His Excellent Contribution In Indian Research Study, The Country Found A Gem To Upkeep
Prof.(Dr.) Bhagirathi Nayak, experienced in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, Academics, Administration, Database Designer, Developer, and Pedagogical Activities for more than two decades. He initially started his career from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Very reputable institutions of the country. He is a self-made man in his respective field. Within a short time-span, he has established more than many people accomplish in a lifetime.
Prof. Nayak did his undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree in Computer Science. He is presently working at Sri University, Cuttack, Odisha, India as a Professor, Chairman of IPR, Program Coordinator of MBA, and member of the University Digital Infrastructure Committee. He published more than forty articles in reputed International Journals, and his books published in Macmillan, Allied, Taylor & Francis Group, Wiley Publishers.
His Endeavour
Prof. Nayak has obtained Nine patents in the area of Computer Science and Engineering. He won the prestigious Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Professional Excellence Award in Data Science from the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Research Centre. He was also awarded “Best Professor of Data Science in Odisha,” India Education Award 2019 at Bangalore.
For his meaningful contribution to Data Science, he was awarded the “Best Researcher” in Technological Conclave 2019, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He has also been awarded the “Research and Innovation Award of the Year” on the occasion of National Summit 2020 on 17th January 2020 in New Delhi. His award was recognition for his work in industry-academia engagement, popularizing Data Science, and making Business Analytics available to the students and industry leaders.
Four Ph.D. scholars have been awarded, and six are undergoing the study under his supervision. A partial listing of his projects includes Bioinformatics of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, Department of MSME, and Paradip Port Trust, Odisha. His research interest regions lie in Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
