Raghu M, the founder of Folks Interiors is a happy-go-lucky person with a penchant to look at the world uniquely. Someone who understands how important it is to have a place feel like home and what it means for people. He always has been fascinated with different architectures around the world, whether it was his own house or something as famous as a Colosseum. Making small changes that significantly impact the lives of people matter a lot to him. As a designer turned project co-ordinator in his first job for a major interior designing company, he was able to witness first-hand the joys in helping customers realise their dreams. This motivated him to start his own company which gave him the freedom to completely focus his time and energy towards serving the customers while simultaneously providing his own creative touch.

Raghu considers his father to be the inspiration behind his success. From him, he learned how to handle difficult situations, which is now helping him to sail through the difficulties in his entrepreneurial journey. Getting the initial capital to spend for a project during the early stage of his venture has always been difficult as he did not have huge amounts of monetary fund when he started the business. The trust that customers showed in him motivated further to cope up with such hardships.
According to Raghu, “Creativity, marketing and above all patience, are the three vital aspects essential to pursue entrepreneurship. Looking into competitors and trying to identify the areas which they could have done better while serving their customers, also helps me to identify the gaps in the market and grab it as an opportunity.”
Till now, out of all the projects which he has delivered, renovating a 40-years old residence for a Merchant Officer who had high expectations was a really challenging task but it all ended up exceeding expectations. Friendly and hands-on approach from the initial to the final stages of project completion, is the unique way with which Folks Interiors operate. Raghu also believes that as entrepreneurs, one should always focus on building a sustainable and green architecture.
