Delhi NCR-based baby care quick commerce startup OZi has secured $3.3 million in seed funding, marking a strong entry into India’s booming quick commerce sector. The round was led by Blume Ventures, with participation from Huddle Ventures, Zeropearl VC (founded by Bipin Shah), Untitled, and a cohort of high-profile angel investors.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Amit Sah, OZi offers 30-minute delivery of essential baby care products like diapers, toys, baby apparel, and more. The startup has started operations in Gurugram and is aiming to redefine how urban Indian parents shop for baby essentials.

Backed by Industry Veterans

The funding round drew attention from seasoned startup founders and leaders across the Indian tech and consumer landscape. Angel investors include:

  • Abhinav Sinha, COO of OYO and founder of Kluizz
  • Gaurav Ajmera, CBO of Pristyn Care and founder of Vetic
  • Dhyanesh Shah, cofounder of Mosaic Wellness
  • Gian Singh, cofounder of Mi Arcus
  • Ramakant Sharma, cofounder of Livspace
  • Naman Mawandia, cofounder of magicpin

Their support underscores the growing demand and confidence in vertical quick commerce platforms tailored to specific consumer needs.

Expert Founding Team with Deep Consumer Insights

OZi’s leadership brings a wealth of experience from top-tier consumer and tech companies. Alongside founder Amit Sah, the founding team includes:

  • Arushi Arora, formerly with Urban Company and BCG
  • Charishma Motwani, ex-Cars24 and BCG

Their combined expertise in operations, consumer behavior, and growth strategy gives OZi a strong foundation for scaling rapidly in the competitive quick commerce market.

Rapid Delivery Meets Baby Care

What sets OZi apart is its hyperlocal delivery model, promising delivery of curated baby products in under 30 minutes. With Indian parents increasingly seeking convenience, speed, and reliability, OZi taps into a high-demand niche that remains underserved by broader quick commerce players.

The startup is currently operational in Gurugram and plans to use the newly raised capital to:

  • Expand to other metro cities across India
  • Increase SKU count to offer a broader range of baby essentials
  • Enhance technology and logistics for a seamless delivery experience

A Growing Market Opportunity

India’s baby care market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 15% in the coming years, driven by rising urbanization, increased spending on children’s products, and a growing working-parent population. Quick commerce — already disrupting grocery and food delivery — is now set to transform the baby care segment as well.

By focusing solely on this niche, OZi aims to become the go-to platform for new parents looking for fast, trustworthy, and high-quality products for their children.

Final Thoughts

With a strong team, strategic investors, and a sharply defined value proposition, OZi is well-positioned to lead the next wave of vertical quick commerce in India. As the brand gears up to expand, it’s clear that the baby care segment may finally have a quick commerce solution tailored just for it.
